    Join us for the first Ontario RAIN Garden Master Class and earn a certification in this emerging eco-landscaping trend. Enjoy learning and mentoring from leading experts while you design and build your first rain garden. Buy tickets here! A great rate of only $100.In this class, you will learn how to design your own rain garden step-by-step.

    Rain gardens capture water that runs off of hard surfaces, such as driveways, rooftops and walkways. The garden is designed, and specific plants are selected to allow water to infiltrate back into the soil and remove pollutants from the runoff. Rain gardens are beautiful, and provide homes for butterflies and pollinators.

    Course instructors include:

    Susan Bryan-  "Queen of Rain Gardens" in Washtenaw County, Michigan- Master Rain Gardener program founder, Master Gardener and Landscape Architect, Rain Garden Coordinator at the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office.

    Sean James- "The Rain Garden Guru" of Ontario- Master Gardener and award-winning landscape consultant, Sean James Consulting and Design.

    Sharyn Inward-  " The Reigning Queen of RAIN"- Certified Rain Gardener and urban water expert, Green Communities Canada.

    This online course includes:·       Six one-hour online classes·       Interactive mentoring from experts·       Peer support via online sharing for a period of 6-months while you build your first garden

    Certification awarded to full participants who have completed their own rain garden design/build within the 6-month period of support.Classes will be held each Friday from 1- 2pm (EST) from March 1st to April 5th.As a result of this training you will learn:
    • Why stormwater needs to be managed.
    • The importance of properly-designed rain gardens.
    • The principles of rain garden location, construction and maintenance.
    • How to properly design and size rain gardens.
    • How to select appropriate vegetation.
    • How to design, build and plant a rain garden.

    The RAIN Garden Master Class is tailored towards gardeners and professionals and members that want to learn more about the proper design, installation and maintenance of rain gardens.
